World Cup 2006

Tuesday, September 20, 2005

Yeah, http://worldcuptoday.blogspot.com might have more informative commentary, be updated more frequently and be of more interest to sports fans, but it uses Times New Roman font. I mean come on. That's a basic blog error, isn't it?

Tahoma, verdana or arial. That's all you need to play with. None of your fancy arial-narrow's or century gothics for me please, and certainly no deafult serif nonsense like Times New Roman.

Shame really. Basic errors, such a shame.

http://theworldcup2006.blogspot.com/ - some kind of spam farm

Yes, N. Ire vs Eng was dismal. I have almost wiped it from my memory. It was like a bad dream where you keep on walking through sludge, uphill. And then you lose 1-0. One of those dreams.

We need to win the last two games, at home against Austria and Poland, to win the group and qualify outright. Otherwise, we'll have to go through as one of two best teams in second place from the European groups, or via one of three play-offs for the other second placed teams.

I suppose someone should post some comments on the England Northern Ireland game shouldn't they? And considering I live in Australia, and haven't seen the game, nor any highlights, I am probably the least qualified to do so. Therefore I will.

I hear that as a result, England (or En-ger-land as they like to be called) are not guaranteed automatic qualification which they previously were. I know that Poland are at the top of the group, and I might be living in the land where footy is played with a rugby ball, but I also know that Wales are also in their group, but they're at the bottom and are basically crap.

I also know that Malta (small island in the Mediterranean, dogs with big eyes, football played on gravel) have amassed two world cup points from two victorious draws. Fantastic. They beat someone last year I think.

See, I am still on top of football news, ain't I, hmmm?
